The Costa Coffee story began back in 1971, when two Italian brothers – Sergio and Bruno – arrived in London with a burning desire to make great tasting coffee a part of everyday life. Setting up a micro roastery in Fenchurch Street, they committed to crafting the finest quality coffee. It was here that after 112 attempts they succeeded in creating a signature blend that could sweeten any of life’s bitterness. They named it Mocha Italia. These days it’s our signature blend, beloved the world over

IN 1981, THEY OPENED THEIR FIRST COSTA COFFEE SHOP IN VAUXHALL BRIDGE RD.From here the Costa family continued to expand across London, the UK and eventually the globe. As a leading Coffee brand, COSTA has over 3820 coffee shops all around the 30 countries and districts, inspiring the world to love great coffee. Since the opening of Shanghai East Nanjing road shop in 2006, COSTA has opened over 480 coffee stores in China mainland.
