LOTUS POOL LAKE PARK

Cold wind and drizzle are as fragrant as the mist, the summer resort with lotus pool is the most compatible and pleasant. The park is the biggest ecological park within this area with coverage area of about 790,000 square meters, including water surface area of about 200,000 square meters, and green area of about 435,000 square meters. The design of park is started from the Zen, natural and peaceful Zen environment is created through the comprehensive, natural fun, and simple landscape, which provides tourists with smooth, magnificent and abundant landscape experience. With water surface as the center, the park plants large lotus, lotus and other aquatic plants, supported by stone, wood gallery, sculpture, comedy, recreational facilities and other leisure pavilion equipment, the poetic atmosphere manifested by endless lotus leaves and reelected red lotus bud in summer creates the distinctive landscape in the park.

Fish Swimming around the Pier
The lotus pond covers for 10 square miles linked with East, West and Middle Yangchenghu Lake. According to history, there is a pier in the pond around which fishes always swim in rainy season.

Lotus Pond Summer Resort
In summer the lotus in lotus pond is in full blossom, which is described in poem as “wonderful scenery in the wet land”.

The Ancient Peace Bridge
The Ancient Peace Bridge was firstly constructed in Ming Dynasty. Pieced together by two rock with same size, the bridge is 12.25 meters long，1.27 meter wide with a span of 3.7 meters. It is where one of the “Eight Scenes” of Yangchenghu Lake.

The Ancient Changxing Bridge
The Ancient Changxing Bridge, also called as “Huandong Bridge”, was firstly constructed in the year of 1726 （the fourth year of Yongzheng Emperor’s throne in Qing Dynasty） and rebuilt in 1905 (the thirty first year of Guangxu Emperor in Qing Dynasty). It is 16.34 meters long, 2.45 meters wide with a span of 4.3 meters.

Hairy Crab Sculpture
The hairy crab is the best delicacy of Yangchenghu lake. In ancient times, painters always gathered around here to catch the crabs by using inks mixed with glutinous rice juice.

Square Pavilion
It is fun to climb up to the Square Pavilion on the top of the hill, seeing the great Chongyuan Temple in distance and beautiful lake scenery.

The peaceful and elegant white manor is planted with white magnolia, pear trees and white hibiscus.

The graceful Purple Manor is planted with purple magnolia, iris flower.

The delicate Yellow Manor is planted with kerria flower, asteraceae, ginkgo trees, osmanthus and wintersweet.
